Blue Ghost’s 2019 WNC Natural History Series Focuses on Wild Turkeys, Black Bear, & Blue Ghost Fireflies
Blue Ghost Brewing Company is excited to announce the 2019 Natural History Educational Series. With the series in its third year, this year’s version will partner up with local non-profit organizations, including Friends of the Smokies, Friends of Chimney Rock State Park, and Brevard College, to promote knowledge about native organisms. 10% if sales these nights will go to these organizations. The presentations will occur on the second Tuesday of each month, February-April, beginning at 7PM. The presentations are free and open to the public. Dates, topics, presenters & organizations benefiting are as follows:
- February 19 -- Wild Turkeys
- March 19 -- Black Bears in the Smokies
- April 9 -- Blue Ghost Fireflies
(Brevard College). Please note this talk will be OUTSIDE in Firefly Field, weather permitting. Please bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets to sit on. for the talk.
The multimedia presentations will last for about 45 minutes and feature a question and answers session at the end. There will be 12 beers on tap, Bold Rock Hard Cider, a red & white wine and a draught non-alcoholic homemade Blue Ghost 2-Diddy Root Beer for purchase. Food options will be available as well from Blue Ghost’s own The Hungry Ghost from 5:30-7:00 PM.
